Global

Your company’s standard form. Use it for things that should be identical everywhere — your daily log, your safety inspection.

This Project

Lives on one job only. Use it for an owner-specific form, or anything you’re still trying out.
Build a new form as This Project first. Run it on one job for a couple of weeks. Promote it to Global once it’s actually right.

Draft vs. Published, and automatic versions

  • A draft template can’t be filled out yet. Build in draft.
  • Publishing makes it available to fill out.
  • Editing a published template automatically saves a new version. You don’t have to remember to version it, and you can’t accidentally overwrite the version people already used.
Submissions stay attached to the version of the template they were filled out on. That’s why last month’s logs still show last month’s fields.
