The short version. A newer sheet supersedes the old one. The old one is still there. That history is the evidence you need when somebody asks why the wall got built in the wrong place.

Two dates, two meanings

Drawing date

When the designer drew or issued the sheet. It comes off the sheet.

Revision date

When this version came into your set. It’s about your record, not theirs.
On a claim, the question is never “what does the current sheet say?” It’s “what sheet was in the field on the day the work was put in place?” That’s the revision date, not the drawing date.

Upload the new sheet or the new set

Same as the original upload — DirtView matches it to the sheet it replaces.

Check the current version is the new one

Everyone on the job should now be opening the new sheet by default.

Leave the old one alone

Don’t delete superseded sheets. They cost you nothing and they’re your proof.
