Your markup is not saved until you press Save. Backing out of the sheet or locking your phone loses it. This is the most common complaint about the drawings module and it’s entirely avoidable.

Pen

Freehand. Circle the thing you’re asking about.

Highlighter

Draw attention without covering the linework underneath.

Box

A clean rectangle around an area — reads better than a scribble when it’s going out to the GC.

Measure

Distance on the sheet. Needs to be calibrated first or the numbers are meaningless.

Before you trust the measure tool

Always check a measured distance against a dimension printed on the sheet before you order material off it. The tool is as accurate as its calibration and no more.
