# Filling out and submitting a form

> Draft vs. Submitted, who gets notified when, and what happens to a draft nobody finishes.

<Warning>
  **A draft is not turned in.** Nobody is notified and nobody is waiting on it. If you started a form and walked away, it is sitting in your drafts and the office does not have it.

## Fill it out

    Submissions tab → new → choose the template.

  <Step title="Fill in what you know">
    Required fields are marked. You can save as a draft at any point and come back — useful when you're waiting on a delivery ticket.

  <Step title="Attach your photos">
    Attach them here, on the form, not in a text message. On the form they're part of the record.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    Now it's real, and the people set up to be notified get notified.

<Tip>
  End-of-shift habit: submit before you leave the site. A draft written in the truck at 3pm and submitted Thursday is worth a lot less than the same words submitted Monday.
