# Marking up a sheet

> Pen, highlighter, box and measure — plus the one thing everyone forgets: markup isn't saved until you press Save.

<Warning>
  **Your markup is not saved until you press Save.** Backing out of the sheet or locking your phone loses it. This is the most common complaint about the drawings module and it's entirely avoidable.

## The tools

## Before you trust the measure tool

<Warning>
  Always check a measured distance against a dimension printed on the sheet before you order material off it. The tool is as accurate as its calibration and no more.
